A motor ambulance is provided by the Uxbridge Joint Hospital Board for the removal of infectious cases, bedding and clothing. Non-Infectious Gases., Hire of ambulance. Calls by telephone should be given as follows: Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Saturday 8 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Northwood 1110 At other times Northwood 995 Laboratory Facilities„ Bacteriological examinations are carried out by the Ministry of Health Emergency Pathological Service. Diphtheria Immunisation. The immunisation clinics have continued throughout the year at Northwood, Eastcote and South Ruislip. During the year 121 persons have received treatment. Repeated reminders have been issued in the form of advertisements in the local press, hand bills and even private letters to parents, which have had good effect in bringing the matter to the notice of the population. Up to the date of this report no immunised case of Diphtheria has been admitted to the Isolation Hospital, which speaks well for the efficacy of the preparation in use.
